You’re here because like me, you love speaking. Or maybe you love the IDEA of speaking.

For me, I love speaking.

Like, LOOOOOOVE it.
And it accounts for a large part of my business.
But I resisted it for too long.

Not because I was afraid of the stage. Nope. It wasn’t that. Been finding stages since I was a lowly shepherd with the homemade staff in the Sunday School pageant.

And not because I didn’t have an important message to share. Nope, wasn’t that either.

But because when I first started out, I found myself in gigs that were not in alignment with me, my message and how I moved best.

(Like the time they asked me to strike the word “intersectionality” from my slide deck. Or the time the organizer “strongly suggested” I infuse some of their shady sales tactics into my talk as a way of sanctioning it.)

I missed these in the Discovery Call because I wasn’t asking the right questions…which lead to lost time, money and more agida than I can tell you.

So I developed a process to make sure I don’t miss a thing.

And I’m excited to share it with you.

Introducing the Speaking Gig Discovery Checklist

Whether you’re a seasoned professional speaker, or just starting out, every speaking engagement starts with a Discovery call to vet the opportunity.

Are you in alignment?
Are you the best person for the job?
Is their audience the right fit for you?

And not knowing how to navigate that first call can be the deal-breaker before the deal even gets off the ground.

I am NOT here for that.

You have an important message to share.

Don’t let being unprepared for the Discovery Call stand in your way.
